    s50b32 swap fuel pump question

I need some help on what fuel pump to replace the stock one with its a 1988 e30 m3 with a s50b32 swap in it. Car seems to not be getting enough fuel. I just hooked up the fuel like from the old s14 right to the new fuel rail on the s50 I have a feeling this is totally wrong please help!

And yes I did do a search and didn't seem to come up with much.

      Stock is sufficient.

If you MUST upgrade, take a look at some of Bosch's higher flowing fuel pumps as an option.

kevlarweave you say stock is good enough. Do you have anymore than that or just what you did? I noticed that the stock fuel pump for the euro e36 is a 5 bar pump vs the us spec 3 bar pump anyone know much about this?

You need a pump that can do 5 bar, stock E30 M3 is NOT sufficient.

If your current pump is working then throw a Bosch 044 inline with the fuel feed line. It is DEFINITELY capable of flowing whatever your needs are.

stock is not enough spec wise.. i ran my s52 with a bad xfer pump and a noisy stock pump (probably going too) and i would actually loose power after 5.5k. i'm making a new system for the new car and see if that takes care of the boggin problem under hard right turns.

I see well the pump is kinda loud you can hear it if your standing next tot he car. Also what do you guys think about deleting all of the stock fuel pump stuff and just doing 1 in tank walbro or bosh and running a new feed line?

I don't think the noise the pump makes has any real bearing on the function.

Yes you can delete all stock stuff before the rail. You really don't HAVE to run new hard lines though. IIRC the Walbro 255 is a common pump for Euro 3.2 owners.

John at Treehouse Racing indicated to me that the stock pump was fine for Euro applications.

I haven't noticed any fueling issues with mine (new stock pump).

Thank you guys for the info. It seems like everywhere I find this topic online people have split decisions on if the stock pump will be enough or not.

Stock e30 fuel pumps cope fine with the demands of the S50B30 Euro but cannot deliver the 5 Bar demanded by the S50B32 Euro.

I don't know what is required for the half-assed US spec S50 motors.
