    m20 oil cooler

    Just to make sure before I get rid of mine, is it of any use for 24v swap?

    what do you need one for? Do you have a euro motor or are you just using a euro oil filter housing?

        I was under the impression that the us m5x/s5x engines did not have oil cooler ports in the oil filter housing.

              dont mean to thread jack, does anyone know the bolt pitch/thread for the filter housings with an oil cooler line? or does anyone know where i can get a bolt to plug said port?

                I kept mine ,used the euro filter housing and wired in the oil M3 temp gadge. Watching the oil temp gadge one day ,noticed a little higher than normal temp , and found myself with a 1 gallon water leak,The oil temp gadge at a glance is easer to see than the water temp gadge on the M3 dash clusters. It Save My Motor joe

                    I used a -10AN to 1/4 NPT adapter for the ports and used a -10AN line to the oil cooler. I actually just cut the crimp off of the stock lines and removed the lines and crimped the -10AN line onto the stock metal line going into the cooler.

                      i used mine but had someone weld on an10 fittings on the ends since the stock bmw fittings are a weird size. i got the an10 fitting adapter for the euro oil filter housing from turner. the only think i would do different is try to run the oil lines differently so they don't rub on the air filter. you can check out my setup if we have get together at a show.
