        Sorry if it has been answered and I missed it, but are you sure your harness power and ground are hooked up right? Can you post pics of both? The wire that comes with the diagnostic connector should be grounded. The one that splits off a few inches earlier should be bolted to the battery junction.

          I don't remember what the E34 harness looks like, D, but what you describe is exactly correct for the E36 harness.

              E34 harness has the diagnostic connector on the driverside. Pretty sure (maybe) that your thinking its on the passenger side right? there were two wires coming out the passenger side. One was brown one was brown with a stripe. In my harness, the power one was red.

              Dan, call up your buddy with the alpine 525 and see how his harness is hooked up and where exactly those two wires go and if anything else is hooked up to power or ground.

                Yeah, we had him come over to inspect how his car is wired up. Both the BR and BR/OR wires were grounded, and the red wire to the relay block was hooked up to B+. At least, that was my recollection.

                  Hmm. weird stuff man. So did you guys get power to the relays? Fuel pressure at least? How about the unloader?

                  I think we need to get him a match or two :)
