    Show me your cone filter!

so whats up with the odd 3.25" OD MAF sensor? i bought a generic 3" cone filter and it wont fit. i really dont want to buy an oversized 3.5" filter unless i have a euro HFM. what cone filters have you used? brand and PN if possible please!!

I must take a picture of my new K&N I installed when I did the 3.5" MAF. It's fucking huge.

What's this about a cone filter? I threw in a stock style E36 filter. I'll check to see if I have a picture of it.............

            edit:

            double edit:
Yes I did go back and clean up the welds after these pictures were taken.

That really doesn't help us. That's wonderful that you have a filter on your wrecked car, just like 95% of the rest of M20-powered r3v. Try to be helpful next time, ok?

To the OP, I have a 3" K&N as well and it took some stretching but it's on there. Some silicone spray will help to get it on if you have some.

RU-4730, 3" base inner. Needed to stretch a tiny bit to fit but that just gave a better seal imo... I wouldn't get a bigger than 3".

The silver & chrome "universal" fit 24.99 cone from Vatozone. It's got 3 rubber rings that allow you to adjust the size for the MAF.
