non vanos oil filter housing question...

I bought my m50 Vonvanos motor in peices so i not sure if i have a NV or a Vanos oil filter housing. Mine had the return oil line (looks like a p/s line) coming out of the housing, right next to the oil temp sensor.

On realoem it only shows this return on Vanos motors, why does mine have it? i cant find anywhere to put it into.

I just stuck a short bolt the same size with a washer to plug the hole...

and yes searching turned up nothing

i actually broke my first oil filter housing on my stock nv motor, and bought an oil filter housing that happened to be off a vanos motor. i plugged it up like you did with an m14x1.5 oil drain plug. fits perfectly! should work fine..

Yours is the same thing theyre talking about? Whatd you tap the holes you used with? What size fittings?
