    m50 harness non vanos vs vanos

    just wondering what are the differences between a m50 non vanos vs vanos harness besides the vanos plug. and if you can use a vanos harness on a non vanos motor? are the maf plugs the same? does a non vanos motor have nock sensors? and are non vanos harnesses obd1?

    They are completely different, and not compatible. The MAF has a different plug with a different number of pins. Non-vanos motors don't have knock sensors. The ECU is very different also, I don't even know if the connectors are compatible because the NV has a two-board ECU.

        Is that just US spec M50 engines then?? Ive always beeen under the impression that euro M50's have knock sensors.......
