Putting my flame suit on...need to redo the obd1 manifold hoses

Hey guys, so I've been trying to track down the cause of my throttle lag issue, and I think that I found the culprit. When we originally installed the "plumbing" for the obd1 manifold, we didn't know what to do with one of the vacuum lines under the obd1 throttle body. So, we stupidly put a screw in a short piece ofd heater hose and left it alone. Over a year later, I realized that this could vbery likely could be causing my throttle delay.

(REMEMBER THIS IS ALL FOR AN OBD1 S52)
I tried to figure out how to redo the plumbing using these different pictures, and saw that I'm not using the #9 connector in my plumbing.

    1. Do I route the vacuum line, which is circled on the throttle diagram, to the vacuum fitting on #9?

    2. Every install and manifold kit I've found is made to simply use the obd1 mnanifold on an obd2, but since I'm obd1 do I need to use the circular oil separator(I think that's what it is), which the left line off the "T" in the pics above is connected to? I ask this because I know I'm not using this oil separator either.

Trust me I've tried lookin on the e30 DOHC wiki, searching all the threads possible, and spent lots of time searching bfc for answers, but I can';t fdigure it out. Every post/site that has a thorough explanation is keeping the motor obd2, and I need the obd1 explanation.

Therefore, please help me determine how the "plumbing" should be arranged. I currently have a PCV valve in the hose that attaches to the front of the crankl case, should I use the breather connector there instead like it is on the s50??? In the picture above from midnightautowerks.com, I can't figure out what connects to the other end of the #9 connector on the other side of the "T" setup, where does that go?

I'm ready to get flamed for letting it persist this long, and hooking it up wrong in the first place. I would've asked earlier, but I was to busy this year with work and school. Please help me guys...thanks! :D

1: yes. The hose goes to the PCV (so the fumes can still go into the manifold at idle):

I always suggest converting to a 100% OBDI setup (like BigD has pictured) The other option is to use the eurosport M50 Manifold conversion, which works really well.

First thanks for the quick replies guys. Next, just to get this straight:

        1. Goes to the front of the crank case

        2. What hooks up to the other side of the breather, or do I just leave it like that?

        3. Where does this hose go to? And what kind of fitting is on the end of it?

Again thanks for the help guys.

2.5 (the other end of 2) and 3 both go into the intake boot in front of the TB.

So what hooks up to that second fitting on the bottom of the throttle body???

And what does the open end of 2 hook up to???

Are you talking about the coolant circuit?

Like Matt said, the other end goes to the TB boot. The boot has two holes. One for the ICV (which acts like a bypass right? breathes from the boot into the manifold, around the TB) and one for the PCV breather hose. The ICV has it's own PCV, they merge and plug into the valve cover.

                Sorry guys I'm still confused.

And #2 goes into the intake manifold instead of the the obd2 ICV right?

And I still need to know about that damn tube on the bottom of the throttle body.

                  Thanks again,

That makes two of us... your fuel rail is feeding fuel into the throttle body warming circuit? Is it then returned to the injectors somehow? :P

Found out it's supposed to go to the purge valve, which isn't hooked up.

Ok so now I don't know if we hooked it up wrong anymore. I'm using the s52 ICV, I have that hooked up to the whole on the inside of the intake manifold, rather then the breather with the vacuum fitting that is hooked up in your pic BigD. Is there a difference between obd1 and obd2 ICV???

One hose goes from the ICV to a T. Connected to the other two sections of the T are: one hose that goes to the front of the engine where I am using a universal one way valave to act as a PCV, the opther hose goes to my asc delete intake boot which only has one whole anyway.

                      sorry for the shitty rendition
