    Snapped a torx bolt :(

So I snapped a torx bolt that goes through the head and goes down to the timing case cover.

I can't get the dremel in there and I'm afraid I don't have any room for a bolt extractor bit...

I think that my best bet is to get a thin steel saw bit and cut it right where its stuck. I should mention that the bolt snapped right the head gasket is and that its being held in place because of it. There just isn't enough play in the timing case cover to allow me to pull it out.

Take a look at the pics and let me know how you guys would approach this situation!

They are large to really show the detail...so sorry to the folks with smaller monitors!

    Thanks

This is pretty much preventing the additional wiggle room that I need in order to remove the timing case cover

I really want to avoid doing that...I'd have to buy another set of head bolts

Only other choice is to put it togeather without it and let it leak like hell.

                False.

Get another set of stock head bolts. They are stupid cheap.

a new set of head bolts is a small price to pay. your other option is to half ass it and run it as is and get oil all over the front of your nice clean motor.

Well...I was able to cut the bolt with a metal saw bit that I purchased. It came out perfect, nice clean cut across and I was able to slide it out.

I will post pics in a few.
