    Thinking of selling...

I am seriously considering selling and I am looking for some input from you guys on pricing. I need the space in the garage for an upcoming Porsche project.

The shell is a 1991 318is w/ 142,000km (88,000mi) it is for the most part clean with a couple very small spots of surface rust that have been treated and a hole in the drivers side cowl under the windshield (hole cannot be seen with the hood closed)

    Now for the good parts...

    62,000 mi Euro S50B32
    Rouge Engineering Lightweight Flywheel/Clutch package
ZF 5-spd Transmission (w/ Rouge Engineering Short Shifter)
E30M3 Driveshaft w/ new flexdisk and CSB
3.46 LSD with finned diff cover
    PWR All-Aluminum Radiator
    ITG Air Filter
    E30M3 5-lug swap
Ground Control Coilovers w/ Custom Valved Short-bodied Koni's
    500/750 and 400/650 springs
    E30M3 sways
    Gustave's Roll Center Spacers
Muzzi Motorsports Short Rear Subframe Bushings
Massive Front 4-piston BBK / E30M3 Rear brakes
Harrison Motorsports brake ducts w/ high temp silicon hose
MotoMotions Dual Master Cylinder Setup (I also have our new dual master pedal cluster setup available that uses Tilton M/C's and has a balance bar - not installed)
    Ireland Engineering flares
    Team Dynamic 1.2 17x9 et 30 (18mm spacers) Wheels - Silver
Dunlop Direzza Sport Z1 Star Spec 245-40-17
    Custom stainless single 3" exhaust
    Recaro Pole Positions Leather/Suede
    Massive Seat Mounts
    Radio and OBC blanks
    E30M3 wiring harness cover
    FRP sunroof panel (not installed)
FRP hood (rough and not installed)

I was thinking around $15k - sound reasonable?

    Specs sound pretty ...

    Pics though.
You know we can't live without them.

    Pics first.

Sounds good for a parts list, maybe a bit less for an incpomplete car. Or is this thing bombin' the roadways?

Sounds like someone is gonna have a wallet 15k lighter and the ability to never wipe that smile off their face again.

It also has Cibie H1/H4 headlights. They blow away any of the euro lights (smilies, etc...)

That seems like a very reasonable price. Jason89i sold his S50B32 M3 for $20K (which turned out to be a lot less than the market would bear), and your car is essentially the same in terms of running gear, plus maybe some more track-oriented goodies.

Is it caged or anything like that? I already have enough e30s; I'm just curious!

Sounds like an awesome car -- very similar to mine except for the euro motor.

I think $15k sounds reasonable but the current economic situation might mean you'll hold it a while. It's certainly worth that much as my similar car routinely hot laps local tracks quicker than cars that cost anywhere from 2x-10x my investment -- literally. But I probably don't have to tell you that.

Do you want to sell the FRP hood? I'll come pick it up!

My honest opinion - part it. The market is super soft right now. I think an E30 with an S70-2 would be sitting a while at 15k. But there are a lot of E36 guys in North America, obsessing over an S50B32 for some stupid reason (when an S54 is cheaper and easier to find but hey, your gain). Someone here would probably pick up your 5 lug for a few grand. Then after your suspension recoup, you'd only have to get like 3-4k for the car (assuming you can throw an M20 or M44 in there for cheap) and you'd pretty much get what you want.

The problem with cars like this is that it requires a buyer who would appreciate it, and someone like that will have the patience to have one built himself - unless yours offers something extraordinarily special, or done in a way that would be very difficult to replicate. You said yourself that the shell isn't mint... A guy here in Toronto is having a hard time unloading a 318 with an S52 and E30M3 5lug car for 6500 with a banged up fender (front - why he doesn't replace is beyond me but still). I guess the fear mongering created by the economic BS affects the types of cars people buy too.

PM me about the hood. It's a bit rough, but really light as it is just a skin.
