      Relax Junior,

to search through the 60+ pages of non relevent posts, it is easier to ask.
If you feel the need not to answer please dont, and not make this into a search pissing issue.

well i believe that ive seen people keep the factory booster, but they had to hack all the fins on the manifold for it to clear. or you can use the 325ix booster

I can relate to the annoying bunch-0-shit that you have to read through but sometimes its the best option!! We all have to do it, and there are other benefits you may/will pick up things that aren't noted as clearly and also learn some tips/tricks. I have found a few for myself.

                buuuuuuttt...............Anyway

Its my understanding that you need to trim the ribs on the intake manifold in order to make it clear. I can't say this for certian as I didn't go this route but its what I have learned through uber amount of reading. IX booster here = easy....

Im so sick of people whining about searching and stuff, so what if these questions/subjects get answered more than once. Its good to bring up old subjects again and again, coz everytime there will be a new method or answer.
                  anyway.
Yes it can be done, I hav't done this myself but I want to do to something similr with my s50 and euro intake but there will be some welding involved. I've also be told that the original brake booster is your best bet rather than changing it for a smaller one. I mean what would you rather a car that stops well or one were you saved some time getting a smaller booster???

The size of the booster has absolutely nothing to do with how well the car stops, just how much effort you need to put into the pedal.

As time went on, the factory developed the car each year, making it faster, more comfortable, and capable of handling at higher speeds.
You don’t want this. You want the trickiest, most dangerous, oldest model you can find. Only then can you prove to the world that you’re a man.

It can be done, we just did it on our car last night.

Need to move it to the right by drilling new holes in the firewall ( thus weakening it but maybe marginally)

You will need to offset the fork. And you will need to dismantle all the pedals to be able to reach there to bolt it in later.

It's a major bitch man compared to getting an Ix booster and swapping it in.

Although I have around 1/4'' of clearance without spacers and without shaving the manifold.

I have an OBD2 manifold though so i don't know if its farther away from the booster.

So yes it can be done. Is it worth to save 200$. For me yes, but mileage may vary.

                          There you go.

Junior? Wow. How very adult and mature of you to be calling me names after not mentioning the fact that you had searched and not found an answer to your liking. How the hell was anyone supposed to know you had actually put some effort into it?

We get plenty of noobs and lazy asses who for some lame reason don't feel like doing the work that some many before have done. If you had actually paid any attention to what you read, you would've figured out your answer.

It's not really that tough and you can always PM people that have done the swap. Jackass. There. Now we're even.

                            Bleh.
