coil valve cover ground

    coil valve cover ground

    what are the coil grounds I dont think I have one but idk. when I touch a wire to the bolts the coil down to ground them i get 12 volts but take the wire away no power.

    You should have a ground strap on coil 6 and 3.

      OK thats it then I have no straps and all i thought so. so I need 2 of them when I get the car home tonight from the exhaust shop ill give it a try thanks.

          OK thanks ya I dont Have anything like that. Hopefully that will give me spark when I hook that up. Now to figure out my fuel problem.

            conected and still no spark. ahhhhhhh. This is pissing me off i need to figure out this bullshit. I think im in over my head. Im so lost do i have to hook anything up under the dash since i have an 87. the coils have power and so do the injectors.

              sorry to bring this up but are you sure there should be two?

              i remember my motor only having ONE on coil number 3.

                My m52 only had one, but I've since then got an s50 valve cover. It looks like one is all that would be needed as the whole top cover is one sheet of metal.

                    i have 3 on mine.... one on #1, one on #1-2, and one on #5-6. thats how it was when i got it, '95 s50.

                      There needs to be at least one, but so long as there is one, you should be okay.

                      I have one on 2 and 6 on my 95 s50. 11/94 build.
