    install engine without booster?

I am waiting on my e32 booster but my engine is just about ready to drop in. It will be ready tomorrow and drop in tuesday. So my question is can I drop the engine in without the booster installed and then install the booster after?

Also can I drop the engine in with everything installed, PS, AC, etc?

I think it would be a pain in the ass to put the booster in after.

Guys tend to have problems with the AC compressor hitting the radiator support when installing the engine using a hoist. One way to do it is from below, by raising the car up. You should really install the booster first, then the engine. Is the transmission already installed? It's also easier to have that on there.

yes the trans will already be on it. So leave the AC off. ok

I guess I will have to wait for the booster....i was really hoping to get it in early this week...damn

word of advice. remove the A/C tensioner to drop the engine unless you want to destroy your condenser. I'd leave the compressor (and all other accs too) on as its a pita to reinstall.

You should drop the engine in w/o the intake manifold as you'll have to remove it anyways to install the booster

Is it hard to install the intake with the engine in the car? The intake is actually off but I was going to install it before I install the engine. I read it is hard to install the head with the engine in the car. wrong?
Also which heater hose goes where? top or bottom to the back of the head?

spider hose top, hose at the back of the head to bottom

It's not too bad to install the manifold with the engine in the car.

The intake is not hard to remove and replace. I would take off the powersteering pump pulley. I don't have AC in my m52, and when I was installing, my motor kept hanging up on the pulley for some reason.

engine is in. I will get everything connected tomorrow, other than the intake because I am waiting on the booster. Should have it running by the end of the week...if parts show up
