    battery disconnect switch?

When I bought my S50, 5-lug cabrio, the PO said that the ABS pump ran all the time, so I should make sure to disconnect the battery or use a charger when the car sat for more than one night.

I'm not sure why the engine swap or E-36 5-lug would cause the ABS to run all the time; it could be some other current draw that the PO didn't know about.

So, I'm not sure if it's the ABS pump or not, but the battery definitely dies after the 2nd night. I'm not an electrical guru, so there's 2 options I'm considering:

    1. http://www.amazon.com/Moroso-74103-B.../dp/B000COO1P4

    2. Pull the relay for the ABS and see how the brakes do

Any thoughts on these or other options?

    Thanks

Try to find the ABS fault. Disconnecting battery for any extended time will make the ECU forget it's adaptation settings.

If it is a late model '89, the ABS is powered through pin 20 on the C101 connector. See where this is getting 12v from...

If it's from a hot all the time source this is why your battery is draining.

I recommend wiring the ABS (pin 20) to one of the red/white wires (thickest gauge) coming out of the main relay.

        It's a '92. Same thing?

It should be the same for a '92.
