^ Funny, I was looking throughout this whole thread looking for exhaust ideas, wondering if I would be able to use the E30 325i SuperSprint cat back I already have for a S52 swap.
Sounds great with my M20.. nice deep hum at low RPMs and a great sound at WOT.
Supersprint E30 325i (88-91) catback with my M52B28 - unfortunately I have the car in pieces again so no sound clips...but I'm really happy with it. Quiet down low, and a nice smooth note up top.
I just purchased a vibrant from verocious. arrived in the mail a couple of days ago. i chose this brand based mostly on this thread. i decided on the all black model 1149. i would have actually preferred the tips to be stainless, but i didn't want the entire muffler to be shiny. just my personal preference. i checked out the links you posted above, they both look fine, but it appears that the mufflers you chose have a single 2.5 inch inlet. I don't know what the rest of your exhaust is like, but if you are running 2" duals until after the cats, wouldn't you be better off bumping that up a half inch and running a single 3" to your muffler? also, vibrant recomends running resonators upstream of the muffler if you don't already have them.
my setup will be running the front half of the stock mz3 roady enhaust with cats, resonators, and all four o2 sensors. after resonators, i plan to transition to a single three inch back to my muffler. in the case of the stock mz3, after the cats/resonators, there are 2.5" duals back to dualy mufflers. my thinking is that if the stock system runs dual 2.5's back to two factory restrictive mufflers, woudn't a singe 2.5 be a little bit small?
