    how to remove those plug and that block heater M50

    Ok so I have two question for you guys;

    1. How do you remove those plug in the block?(whitout messing
    anything up) I have new ones that are not rusted. Also is there
    screwed plug behind those like on the head(see pic #2)
    2. How do you remove that block heater? is it screwed?
    the 3 little tabs lead me to believe it is but i don't want to break
    the the tabs while trying to unsrcrew somethhing that isn't actually
    screwed. The little screw in the middle doesn't seem to do anything.

    And if it matters its an M50.

    this one as a screwed plug behind it:

    Thanks Scott

    They're usually removed by punching a holes in them and levering them out with a screwdriver. Yours are pretty rusty so you might have to heat them up or use some sort of liquid wrench-type lube. Not sure about that block heater.

        You should take a wire brush to the area around the plugs before you start. It might help to get the lube in and to slide the plug out. Good luck!

          knock one side in, then grab them with pliers and pull them out. as for the block heater, i have never seen one before, but would say to just loosen the allen head in the middle and pull it out.
