    obd1 s52 e30 TMS\shrick cam install

    So dr vanos stopped by as well as a few e36-tech buddies, got my turner motorsport cam kit in as well as the dr vanos stage 2 vanos kit.

    I wasn't lieing when I said "my dad ran over my cams" (in my own car), thank god they were ok..

    emm shrick..

    Install went great, besides when 2 pintle caps from the injector dropped into my head!! Removed both caps by using shish-kabob sticks and 6 pieces of chewed up gum!!

    I gota give props to Dr. Vanos, did the whole cam and vanos install with little to no help from me, but.. that's why u pay the guy haha.. what's cool is that it took him less then 3 hours to do so... made it look so easy.

    Drove the car, and OMG it is a beast... only problem is i need a new fuel pump now hahaha..

        How did the pintle caps fall off? Were they broken?

        I had this happen to me, but not sure how it fell off. I let mine burn in the 2000*F hell :twisted:.

          How's the idle? Is there a noticable lope?

            I have a similar setup with schricks, you do notice the cams over stock at idle. Its not bad. Get that thing on the freeway, thats where you will feel the power change.

              Especially since I just changed my diff to a 3.23 today from the 3.46 I've had for years. As a track car the 3.46 is just not great at the tracks I'm driving at.

                Mazur, 2 caps fell into the head when we pulled the injectors of, i have a feeling it is gona do the same shit next time i have to take them of :S

                You just let yours in there? didn't fuck anything up? I'm guessing it's only plastic and i wouldn't see why it would mess things up but i didn't want to take risks.. did yours fall into the cylinder or just sit on top of the valves? i was worried about bustin valves lol..

                I just want to be able 2 drive the damn car noww.. the only time i drove it i had my vanos solenoid unplugged like an idiot, so i wasn't seeing full gain of the motor, but what's crazy is that it still felt much faster :D

                waiting on a new fuel pump cause i think mine went to shit.

                    Didn't screw anything up because 2000*F is going to vaporize a plastic pintle cap.

                    My pintle cap must have fallen prior to me removing the injector because I saw it resting/stuck on the backside of an open intake valve, broken up so that half of it was missing. I tried to retrieve it, but it just fell all the way in.

                      haha,hmmm... maybe that's why your motor is pretty strong, got it's vitemin P fo plastic lol.
