Sorry for the stupid questions but, how do 'manual brakes' affect the braking, and what are the pros/cons of a dual master brake cylinder setup?

Cons are for my setup are cost, a stiffer pedal (it is a really different feel than boosted brakes, and some people don't like it), and possibly no ABS. Although I think it is possible to use the E30 ABS pump/parts with my setup, but I have not tested it.

Pros are more feel / better pedal modulation, custom spec master cylinders for new brake packages, control F/R brake balance from cockpit, increased clearance for S50 Euro intake in engine bay, and lighter than stock setup.

Thanks for clearing that up Mike!
So 'manual brakes' give a lot more feedback but are a lot more stiff. So it's what plugging your steering rack is to power steering, basically?

I must say that the pro's of the setup look very nice. :D Might look into it now. You have a PM.

Sounds like when it's time to do brakes, I'll def go with a setup like this with the master cylinders tuned to whatever brakes I upgrade to.
