Getrag 250 and what shift linkage???

I have searched through the the 24V forums however I haven't found anything concrete.

So I followed what everyone says...

Use the shift carrier that comes with the tranny. My tranny didn't come with the carrier so I purchased that separately.

    I have:

    Getrag 250
    E36 shift linkage

Problem is the linkage I have is too freaking short.

Does anyone have a p/n for the linkage they used and WORKED with their Getrag 250??

    Thanks!!

I bet your E36 linkage is ZF stuff.

I used the stock e30 selector rod and I cut about and inch out of the center of it and taped both ends and used a pice of trended rod to make and adjustable on and just when back and forth trying to finding the right length then tacked it in to position will post a pic if I can find one
looking for a e30m50 swap harness adapter pm me $150 shipped

would be able to give me the p/n for it?

              what about measurements?

              check out the pics attached.

the piece that is cut is the E36 stuff and the other piece is E30 318is linkage.

whoops i did forget to mention that i replaced the long bolts with something more reasonable!!

those were just for fitment hahahaha

but the shifter still isn't where i want it...or at least i think so because its kind of hard to gauge the positioning of the shifter when there is no steering wheel and seats in the car!! ah i think i will try it out this weekend though.

I used carrier 25111221541 and shift rod 25111222664 with my G250/S52 swap. Each carrier has a number on the side that gives the center to center length (front mount hole to center of shifter hole). This one is 257.5mm

Shifter sits a little towards the front of the hole but not much.
