318 vs 325 for an s50 swap

As long as the axles are in good shape, you don't need to swap them. They bolt right up to a medium case diff. You do, however, will need to swap differential output flanges and the rear diff cover if the 3.25 LSD is from an E28/E24/E23.

The wiring is a little different for the 318. not a big deal tho. You can also use the 318 rad with the m50 for a cleaner engine bay.
I have a m50 swapped 318iS and am very happy with it.Richard
