For those of you with e36 ZF drivetrain

Yeah, there should be a yellow sticker on the back of the driveshaft. The sticker has last 6 digits of the part number. A 328i driveshaft should be labeled 227 283.

Hopefully there won't be any surprised and I'll be able to drop the engine/tranny in this month.

Ok, so the front part does have 227 283 on it... but I need to figure out which rear part is the right one to use?

Any ideas?

Hey jean, i have a driveshaft from a 96 328i i will check and see if either of those numbers match up to mine. Did you measure it yet slacker?

Awesome if you can do that! I haven't measured it yet, as I wanted to rule out a possible mistake in measuring it incorrectly and giving the wrong rear section to the machine shop for balancing with the front part.
