Will an e36 5sp fit in the trunk of an e30 easy? Going tomorrow to pick it up and would rather not remove my passenger seat etc...

Great, on my way in a couple hours. Other than moving the shift-linkage there isn't anything else I can do to check the tranny or is there?

Could always drain the fluid to see if there are alot of metal flakes etc. I doubt the seller will want you to do that though.

Got it :) It was a bitch to remove as the engine/tranny was on the floor. Got the ZF with the shift linkage and tranny mount, driveshaft (with two rear pieces), flywheel and clutch/pressure plate for $260 . Fluid in it looks good.
