Question on dme harness plug differences

So I have an engine harness that's supposed to be from a vanos e34 m50. I tried to attach it to the dme that came out of my 99 m3 and the plug won't go on.

So now I'm not sure if this is the right harness from the right year, etc. Can anyone look to see what the harness plug looks like? Here's what I have:

    m50 harness plug:

    s52 DME:

    s52 obd2 plug:

DME: (I have a custom chip so no worries about EWS)

Can someone take a picture of their working harness plug??

    Thanks!

              seriously, wtf were you thinking?

As time went on, the factory developed the car each year, making it faster, more comfortable, and capable of handling at higher speeds.
You don’t want this. You want the trickiest, most dangerous, oldest model you can find. Only then can you prove to the world that you’re a man.
