    OBD1 Maf plug

Anyone know where I can get the plug for the maf of an OBD1 harness?

I'm making an adapter to go from OBD2 to OBD1 maf, I have the OBD2 part from an Old broken OBD2 MAF, I just need the plug/pigtail for the OBD1 MAF.

      Why are you doing this?

The part number for the plug that connects to the OBDI MAF is 61 13 1 392 224. You will need pins (actually female sockets) to insert into it also. 61 13 1 376 202 x4.

Because I have a free s50 MAf, and my OBD2 maf is busted,

        Thanks for the pin numbers.

            yep fully aware now.

Anyways I allready made a makeshift adapter, I just wanted the plug to make it cleaner.

I'll just get the adapter, its cheap.

                So just to clarify this,

Are OBD2 and OBD1 mafs interchangeable

I mean besides the plugs physical difference.

                      Ok....

so is it the tuning that's different for the maf.

Why are 540 mafs used and "euro" mafs used interchangeably between OBD1 and OBD2

Any specifics? I know its Siemens vs Bosch but what exactly is different.

What will it affect. I put the one I had on hand and took it for one mild drive. And the car runs fine...idle is fine etc. Will it run lean/rich? Or will the computer simply ignore it. Unplugging it and and plugging definitely affects the idle.

They arent, the only 3.5 MAF i know of that works with an OBDII m/s5x is a Porsche 803.

In all honesty I'm just curious as I will get an OBD2 maf, since its like 30$ more then the adapter for a used one.

See the key word here is interchangeably. Buying an adapter or splicing wires is not interchangeable.

Well more specifically then is there a difference in the reading they put out or a difference in the the way the dme reads the signal that make them not possible to be used?
