    With a m52 swap ( into a 91 318is ) can I use a m50 wiring harness or do I have to use the m52 wiring harness ?

Either one will work. Depends on whether you want to go OBD1 or stay OBD2.

If you go OBD1, you should use the m50 harness and Ecu,

And if you go OBD2 you keep the m52 harness and ecu.

you'll need more than the ecu to stay OBD2, unless you delete the EWS.

Some OBDI engines have EWS (build date on or after 1/95 will have EWS).

FYI, the S50 B32 is not OBDII.

The S52 is a US only motor.

Yes I told you you had a S50B32 in another thread. I would have assumed that you knew that all S50B32s were built after 1/95, therefore all S50B32s have EWS.
