Huh? You mean the motor mount arms? E34 M50 ones work better?

What doesn't work? They don't bolt to the block? I used S52 brackets on my swap and it worked fine..

That is what I figured...teh motor arms. I used the stock ones that came with the motor....if there was an alternative that made the flat part of the motor arm and the mounting point on the subrframe be parallel I'd be a lot happier as that would mean I could use some off the shelf aluminum mounts (that I have sitting around gathering dust).

I knew the E34 M50 mount arms looked like they wouldnt work..

5 cm from the arm hole to the rubber motor mount

guessing the motor mounts have not been turned 180 like they need to be.

Normal motor arms and E28 535 motor mounts worked for me.

                        Rigth side is 0.5cm short:

And left side is too long, if I turn 180ยบ the rubber mounts I can't screw the bottom nut of the rubber mount

What's the next step? Burn the car?

next step is to get the right mounting arms, then get the right mounts

need to spin the rubber mounts, the engine clearly isn't centered in the engine bay. it's a tight fit, but you can get the bottom nuts tight.
