    Wiring help

    I am doing my wiring adapter from 318 is harness to a 96 2.8 from a 328 car side plug. Now I can I plug my m50 (obdI) wiring harness into it?

    Please help

    So you are using your old 318 plug and a obd1 plug correct? that will work.

      using the 318is plug with the car side plug from the 96 328 with a m50 harness. Will that work?

          Thats what I mean. you take the pigtail off your 318i engine harness, then take your obd1 plug match the wires and connect the wires. That us what an adapter is.

            The car side one from the 96 328 is that a e36 adapter?

              I really have no clue what your asking. This is really easy. Here it is step by step.

              1. cut pig tail off of 318 engine harness.
              2. cut pigtail off 328i car side.
              3. check each wire then connect to the coresponding pin.
              4. your done.

                      On the 318is plug I ended up with:
                      #11 red/yellow
                      #2blk/white
                      #8white

                      On the 328 plug
                      #18 white/yellow
                      #7small green
                      #10blue/white
                      #9blk/white
                      #11brown/yellow


                      Is this normal?
