surging idle

OK my car has done this three times now and its bugging me.. when my cars cold i get a surging idle and throws a code. if I turn it off and restart it everythings fine. The car runs fine other wise. Ive cleaned the icv. Could it be a a bad temp sensor ? The motor is a non vanos 92 out of an e36. Ive searched also but my issue seems a lill different

mine does that sometimes, actuallly a lot. i have a leaky injector tho. i can smell fuel for days. already ordered some new/used ones. check the connections on yours or possibly a fuel system cleaning

hasnt done it in a few days?? its done it in places where I couldnt check it. When it happens again ill check it.

nonvanos m50 motors are obd1, they dont store codes like obd2 does. while the light is on, the code is stored, other than that it disappears
