    s38 parts vs s50 parts

I'm just curious as to what makes the s38 so dangerous to mess with as far as parts cost? Is every single component more expensive than the s50 equivalent, or have people just made it seem this way.
    Any examples would be nice.
Is an s50b32 cheaper to swap than an s38 or just the s52?

    just curious,
    Thanks

Yes the S38 is definitely more expensive in every single way .
A stock rebuild performed by a competent shop is in excess of $10k on the S38 .

Try surfing mye28.com for more insight on the S38's costly nature .

I'd say that once you have the Euro S50 bought and installed it would be a cheaper engine in the long run .

Is the s50b32 easier/cheaper to install overall than the s54.

What itb'd I6 is the best candidate for a swap into the e30 chassis, it must have itb's

      what about the S50B30?

How does an s50b32 swap compare to a built and itb'd s52 as far as final cost.

Just one example. Add up the cost of replacing the timing rails, #5 and #10.

As time went on, the factory developed the car each year, making it faster, more comfortable, and capable of handling at higher speeds.
You don’t want this. You want the trickiest, most dangerous, oldest model you can find. Only then can you prove to the world that you’re a man.

If you just HAVE to have ITBs use a Euro s50, that'll be the most cost-effective

or put an Euro s50 manifold on an US s50/52

Are parts for euro motors cheaper than s38 parts? Are they hard to get?

Seems like a euro s50b30 would be the slickest swap.
