The after math of s52 cams, pink tops, 540 maf and tms chip.
im impressed with your motor i must admit. it sounds REALLY strong!
Thank you. So far its been good. I have noticed that my vanos is making a ticking noise and this may be the weak link with the whole system.
Im going to order the Dr vanos stage 2 unit and go from there.
I just sent my ITBS to the Machine shop to get 8mm cut out of the center of each set.
Should have them back by the time I get home from jersey.
Thanks for all your help last night too.
Im going to pull the harness back out this winter and check all the connections.
quick question, why are you opting for the dr vanos stage 2 kit...its like $400 right?
the seals from http://www.beisansystems.com/ for like $30...i bought the kit but i've been to lazy to replace the seal even though my vanos is shot.

Im going to get the dr vanos unit well because mine is just fucked. its not just the seals but the whole think just seems dicked.
If it saves me time in TRYIN to rebuild one then I will use his.
This way if something happens then they cover a replacement.
As for the ITB's I dropped them off at the machine shop and I should have them back by the end of the week.
My rob came for my butterflys too.
I need to go pickup my flange too. then take the TB's to be welded.
Modify the linkage and go from there.
I will keep you updated.

Damn those walls must be pretty thick! Which throttle bodies are you using? Are you going to megasquirt the car after, or have it dyno tuned?
its not the walls that are thick. There is 3 sets of TB's 2 per each set that are connected to each other.
I need to take 8mm out of the center of each set so the ports match up with the M50 ports.
I have VEMs 3.3 that will be installed. My buddy is really good with vems and tuned his M20 to make 400 hp to the wheels before he made it to the dyno.
So I will trust his street tune till the dyno comes. :)
Just wondering, because I just acquired 8 throttle bodies from a 636. Tps, wiring harness, and all...along two plenums. Hoping to get started on something this winter.
Are you getting new butterflies made, since you are boring them out? Can you send me some pics of your progress when you get the chance? I need some ideas for mine. :D
