drive shaft not straight with g260/m50...

got my motor and trans in last night... and put some shims on the motor mounts to get my headers to clear and my e21 booster to clear. and it looks good so far. i am using the 260 trans, drive shaft and diff, from a 90 325is. so i have the diff in already, just put the drive shaft in and it is not straight when the csb is bolted in. but then i hold the shaft up it goes straight. so do i just flip my csb around? i'm not sure if this is common with the m50/g260 set up i know it is needed for other set up's......

just flipped the csb looks good now...

I thought you didn't need to flip it if you retain the stock drivetrain? Weird.

When I put my m20 in my 318, mine wasn't straight and i thought something was wrong... until I bolted up the tranny brace. Then everything looked fine.

You have you tranny brace bolted?

no I didn't bolt it until I had it all straight. I just got it all lined up and just made a brace for the trans. ill bolt it in tomorrow when the paint drys and see how it looks.

my s50/g260 sat crooked as well, i just pushed it up straight and bolted the tranny brace in tight and called it a day.

Um, you usually bolt the tranny brace before the CSB.

i have the tranny on a jack and i made a trans mount to go on it after it all looked good. see what happens tomorrow when i get the trans mount on....
