    Power Loss problem (ignition?)

Hey guys, I recently bought a M50NV swapped e30 and after about a 14hr drive right at the end of the journey the car starts to loose a bit of power.

It looks like the car is trimming timing and putting it back to where it was.
So its like the timing is osculating from normal to retard. The car runs fine, revs up pretty fast and is getting about 14v from the + terminal.

    Info:
    *Stock DME
*Car ran strong to 7k (chipped) for 14hr+
    *Nothing seems Ghetto-rigged
    *Car sees about 14 volts
*Unplugged MAF and car ran like shit
*Unplugged TPS and car ran like shit
*Ground strap is attached to coil tray
    *Complete e34 harness

What should I check? Im new to the 24v business. Thanks.

Not yet, Ill swing by Autozone tomorrow and use their scan tool.

But are there any known problems with the NV motors? Like Cam sync goes bad or something.

But to clarify, it only happens when load is applied. About anything over 1/2 throttle you can feel the car kinda surge on and off like its retarding the timing again and again.
But there are a few WOT situations where it just fines fine and pulls.
The problems happens even when cold.

I will also pull the plugs and see whats up. Just havent had time yet.

Autozone probably won't be able to get any codes for you. You will probably have to dance on the gas pedal to get the codes (If you push on the gas pedal a couple times with the engine off you can get codes from the DME. Search for the proper procedure). If there are codes the go nuts and find the problem. If there aren't any codes I would suggest checking for vacuum leaks, or for exhaust back pressure. Also make sure your air and fuel filters are clean.

Hmm... Didnt know the M50's are as ghetto has the M20s where you dance on the pedals.

So this thread has some closure, the problem was that one of the spark plug's electrode had broken off somehow. Car now runs fine with replaced plug.
