    What linkage with getrag 240?

Just wondering what other setups are you guys running besides cutting the 2" off the carried and selector?

I did the 2" off both and my shifter is not feeling right which is why I ask. Feels sloppy and as if it is not going into gear. Any other ideas?

Im hearing e36 shift linkage works but no one has really proven it to work so maybe someone can confirm this.

What motor mounts you have? Does your shifter line up in the centre where it should be. Was driving mine today and it was mint.

something you won't be able to use unless you have solid motor mounts. I have my cup raised and bolted to the body. Shifts like no other now.

I am running e28 535 motor mounts with stock tranny mounts. My issue the first time when I cut the two inches off the linkage was that I could not get the shifted to move at all. The shifter sits straight in the console it's the selector that is giving me the issue. I might just grab 325 linkage and use that for now. It's what is holding me back from getting the car on the road. Motor turns over fine and all

you need to modify it. Either shorten, or lengthen it depending on what you are starting w/.

Stupidity of me the first time was that I ended up measuring the selector with the car in gear which gave me the wrong size obv. So I went out and got it cut about another inch the next time and then it came up fine but the shifting was nearly impossible to change gears with. I just ended up cutting the selector in half again and just using something in between the hollow rod so I can get a better measurement by aligning it where it felt the best. Now the issue with that is that it feels really sloppy which is what I need to get fixed. Its hard to explain how it is but the shifter itself sits fine its the shifting that begining to become an issue.

Im just asking to see what other choices I have to just make it a one time deal.

waht do you mean pictures-- it looks just like the 260 just shorter-- lets the shifter sit perfectly centered.

Sorry I was just asking Asubimmer to see pictures of his setup.

I might just pick up a 260 linkage setup just to drive the car and make sure everything is fine.
