loosen the collar nut on the driveshaft next to the center support bearing. Should give you enough play to bolt it up.

        Thanks ......
after i loosen the collar nut, and bolt up the front, do i just tighten the collar nut where it ends up? and what size is the collar nut?

about the mountings, can the e30 mountings fit???

Yup thats correct, and I beleive it's around 42mm or so. Should be able to get a rather large adjustable wrench on it.

Two big channel locks works also. I usually wrap a couple of rags around the shaft where I'm biting in with the channel locks to avoid scuffing it.

^ channel locks or pipe wrenches. That collar nut will solve your problem.
