    3.5" MAF, no tune...

How would that run in my m52? Anybody know? I have one sitting in my room, and I am wanting to put it on, but I need to get the throttle body boot, and a bigger air filter... sigh.

with stock motronic? my guess is terribly.. you should do s52 cam, intake and injectors with the fresh tune to match all at once. itd be worth the wait, and less hassle

Injectors and a pair of cams should be had in the $400-500 range. Add another $450 or so for a tune.

Matt at the Racers market has a chip setup for the m52 with 3.5hfm, s52 cams, and bigger injectors. His prices are good as well.

TRM is such a win. Their tuning is excellent and pricing is awesome as well.

Injectors are a waste of time on an M52. Even TRM will tell you. The 24lb injector idea came about when S52 owners with Schrick cams started running out of fuel in the upper RPMs. Unless you are running boost, the stock 21.5 lb-hr injectors are plenty for even a cammed M52. I love mine and I'm not running lean, even with OBD1 conversion, a 3.5" MAF, Conforti/ITG Intake, etc. However, you WILL need a tune!

BTW, TRM is indeed a great tuning option.

                  ^I though M52s were 21.5 just like the S52?

Matt has told me via PM that even 24lbers aren't necessary for Schricks.

They usually aren't needed. You need to be pushing over 250whp to need bigger than the 21.5s.

Matt is dead on. Chuck Stickley related as much to me when we were setting up my tune. He said that towards the latter part of the racing season, S52 owners with Schricks (and other mods) would head out on the track in the early, cold mornings and see lean upper RPM fuel conditions. The 24lb injectors were the solution. They aren't usually needed for street applications.

EDIT: BTW, yeah the M52 stock is indeed 21.5 lb/hr injectors.

So now what you're saying is that I need S52 cams, TRMs tune. Sweet. I will be turbo-ing but that will be in the future. :) yays. now its time to find some decently cheap cams for my budget.
