    M52 ZF320 Z3 Driveshaft

Does anyone know if a driveshaft from a 2.8 Z3 (with a ZF320 transmission) will fit the E30? Are they the same length as the E36 M3/328i manual driveshaft? If not, can I use the front section from the Z3 with a rear section from a E36 325i?

Looking to swap a Getrag 240 for a ZF320 in my M52 318is. Found a low mileage Z3 that has a transmission and diff available.

    Thanks!

    Incorrect length. You need E30 M3, E36 328i or E36 M3. Best of luck.

sorry to tag on to a thread but it seems better to consolidate, and this may be a stupid question, but after hours of google I'm becoming more confused.
To clarify, with the same chassis, engine, trans---
for ebay searches, ONLY E30 M3, E36 328i or E36 M3, or is that saying any non-z3 ZF driveshaft will fit?

and the front of the new driveshaft can be mated to the rear of the e30's 240 type shaft?

Depends on what transmission you are using. If your using a zf then you need manual driveshaft e36 m3 or 328i. From my understanding get the full thing half shafts mixed and matched need to be balanced
