a little help for the new guy.

so i finally got my M50 in. the car is an 88 cabrio. i got the wiring done once and it came apart. i re did it like half ways (getting the major stuff IE. fuel pump and big green wires as well as the blk/yellow one. and any other ones i could figure out. the engine is out of a 1992 325i. its non VANOS. so I'm not sure who's wiring chart to use to finish it. i heard admissios works but his sites down and i cant find it. so if somebody could send it to me. (pm or email. xLegendOZWest@aol.com) (ive gone through a thousand etms to no avail) also when i tried to start it it spins and tries to start. kinda sputters. its got pressure at the rail and i can hear the injectors clicking) and it does have spark. also my ECU is a green label 403. (i assume no EWS since i have spark) also my battery is really low (could this be keeping it from spinning fast enough to fire? not enough juice going to ECU for ignition? not enough to spin the fuel pump fast enough for right pressure? what could the problem be? (im going to get a new battery tonight tho as the one i have now is outta my moms corvette. yeah i know shes a bad ass)
any help is very appreciated as i could have never done this much without you guys. ill post pictures of the build later
    thanks in advance
    joe.

also. i noticed my wiring harness didnt have a place for the o2 sensor. and also the icv and maf wiring on what would be the maf connector is four pins and wont connect to my brand new maf... so was there a different maf made with a different plug? or is there no maf for the 92 and that plug is for the o2 sensor. please help me out guys!

Sounds like someone needs to use the search function, and hit the 24v swap thread from beginning to end.

If you have spark, fuel, and a sucky battery, your car won't start. Get a fresh battery, or charge your battery to capacity, then try starting it again. It is also possible you reversed the supply and return fuel lines. That would cause a no-start as well.

You must have written down what wiring connections to make. Post which E30 wires were connected to which E36 wires, and describe how your power and ground wires are situated on the passenger side battery post.

You may be confusing the MAF and o2 connectors. Did you verify that all the connectors needed for the swap were present on the harness when you put it into the car? I have come across some strange harness issues, like obd1 cars without knock sensor connectors, etc.

I agree. The non-Vanos cars have a NV specific MAF with a round six pin connector. The Vanos MAFs have a four pin connector that looks strikingly similar to the O2 sensor connector.

Yes, the only visual difference between the two is the male/female attribute.

IT FIRED! with a new battery and cleaned up plugs it started! (only after shooting a 12 inch flame out of the brake booster vacuum port! and scaring the shit out of me!) with no maf or o2 sensor (which i still see no plug for. o2 that is) it started and idled (a little rough) and she revs so fast. i am absolutely in love with my car. and at 19 years old this is the most accomplished i have ever felt in my life! and i owe it all to you guys i have gained so much respect for the BMW community and i will be a member for life!

i would also like to specifically thank Farbin Kaiber and FredK who have answered multiple questions ive had along the way.

okay ill shut up now because i sound like i just won a fucking Oscar!

                    pics will be up soon!
