Is an S52 with 170k+ miles worth it?

140k according to the state of NV. The mileage could have been higher, it doesn't really matter to me, I plan on rebuilding it before it goes in the E30. The reason I got the whole car is because I live in CA, and making a BAR legal swap is 100x easier when you have the whole donor car.

I don't know what these people are thinking asking near S54 prices for S52s. S52s parted out wouldn't fetch anywhere close to S54 part out prices. The S52's magic trick is the cams.
You can get an M50/52 bored out to S52 spec and run an M54B30 crank which is the exact same part number as the S52. For the price of an actual high mileage S52, you can have a complete S52 clone with 0 miles on it.
