M50B25 non vanos O2 sensor question

I have a question regarding the O2 sensor setup on the M50B25 NV. The E36 and E34 they come out of use 1 O2 sensor just before the cat where the two exhausts come together.
However. I have two separate exhausts running from headers to the back. They don't meet anywhere. With 1 O2 sensor plugged in one of the two sets of 3 runners the car will limp and if you give it any gas it's acting very confused. Probably because it's only getting a signal from 3 cylinders. WIthout O2 sensor plugged in it runs fine but its obviously rich and I just want it to run how its supposed to. What do I do? I have 2 O2 sensors so I thought of splicing the wires in them so the ECU thinks it's 1 sensor? Will this work? Any other ideas are welcome. They would both be plugged into the headers. So no sensor near the cat.
Working...
