    CEL Knock Sensor.....HELP!!!!!

I completed my s50 swap about a year ago. Originally had a lightweight flywheel and 4 puck clutch which I just hated so I recently pulled the engine/tranny and installed a stock flywheel and clutch. Upon completion of the new flywheel and clutch the car starts/runs fine but was throwing a code for 4-6 knock sensor on the Peak tool. I bit the bullet and replaced the sensor, ensured proper torque and orientation and I am still throwing the code. When I clear the code and drive the car under 3K RPM I don't get the code. At approx 3K it comes on. I don't hear any engine knock/ping. I am at a loss. Any thoughts or opinions on what might be causing this. thanks in advance.

Maybe check the specs of the crank position and cam position sensors ? particularly the Cam position sensor as the problem is brought about by engine speed.

        Crank position sensor.

Should be in the 580 or 1280 ohm range if you meter it (which you can do from the X6000 connector at the DME.

Thanks I will check it. If I can ask a stupid question....Why would I be getting a code for the knock sensor if it is the crank sensor???? Just for my own education...

Ignition timing is based off the crank position sensor. If its wack the ignition gets goofy and knock can be created because of it.

I had the SAME thing. If you start to lose power. Go for the crank POS
