Someone on S14.net put something besides an S14 in an E30 M3, and wasn't put to death in a public square? Hell hath frozen over.

swapping out the S14 is a massive sin. :D

So in the early spring I remove the S14 and use the S52 for track events.
After the season is over, I swap back to the S14.

Well, it's called S14.net. People get along for the most part, unless someone insults the stock M3 for being underpowered, and in the same breath, relates a tale about smoking a young punk in a Hyundai Tiburon from a dig.

If you are a frequent s14.net member or you visit the forum regularly you'd notice that there has been an "engine swap" section for a long time:)

s14s can just all poop like m10s.

The S14 is a sweet engine. 7500 rpm in 3rd or 4th gear on a race track...awesome sound, just out of pull, but not falling down like an s52 at 6300 rpm.

The problem is that the S14 is just too costly for me to use on the track.
So the s52 is in there, but it will make me an inferior driver as I'll be waiting for easy and lazy torque instead of balancing and preserving momentum.

Get Sunbelt cams, and upgraded valvetrain, and the s52 will make alot of power all the way up to 7k+.
