What about MAF swaps(for FI-applications)? Any idea of what kg-hour the stock s54 MAF pings at?

$1800 still seems a bit steep considering you can get a DTA S80 running for about the same cost w/ base maps.

Will advice for datalogging hardware/software be given along with how to intergrate that with the tunerpro interface, such as part throttle map tuning?

I am glad you are using tunerpro though, I have been debating the s54 swap for awhile but wanted to use tunerpro. I have been using tunerpro w/ the 413 for about a year and have had great results thus far.

I can make alpha-N tunes but have not been promoting them as unless a car has exactly the same intake system as the one I develop the tune for, it will need some data logging and custom tuning. Right now I am only offering that for track cars in the Toronto area.

Sorry I just saw this today! Yes I am doing it all in Canada, no need to ship to Europe. I can easily set up my chip shipper so he can flash the DME's in Columbus Ohio, so it won't even need to come across the border.

Right. Kind of like the Lisa desktop when I was in school. As a whole, electronics and parts have gone down in price because of other advancements such as smaller and easier to produce components.

Either way, we have a potential s54 swap coming in the shop and will be contacting you :)

Yes I remember you. In this case, the drop is not so much because electronics prices in general have dropped, it's because Racelogic was selling a product that very few other companies made at that time. The actual cost to produce that emulator could not have been more than 400 or $500 but they didn't sell many so had to recover the development costs over a small number of sales.

I have a very good idea what I want to charge in the end, but am not sure what the market will think of those prices. The way I see it, you can't only decide who to use based on price alone as I know very well that some of the people offering this service are just copying flashes they read from other ECU's, and I can't compete with them. Let's say that my price will be a great deal for what it is, and compared to what a well known place in the USA charges for just the S54 swap software without a tune. (they say on their website that they dropped the price to $1600 but that does not include a performance tune). I am still wanting to charge $1800 with a performance tune. The people that sent me DME's so far are getting a discount off that price for being the first to use my services.

I hope to use Gutenparts, but I will also be using my regular shipper of OBD-1 chips who is a friend of mine, I'll be staying at his house during Oktoberfest in Columbus next month.

I want to mention that in a few months, I expect to be flashing MSS54 ECU's in the USA so no need to ship them to Canada. But in case I don't set that up, I am now able to flash and return these ECU's from Toronto within 3 days. And if someone is in a real rush and in Toronto, I can do it in 2 hours but prefer not to.

5 of those are for customers, all have to go out in the next week. I only have five for myself.
