Haven't been on here in forever, building an e30 with S54 as most of you are. Wondering if anyone makes a custom airbox yet to fit an e30 and not have to modify the booster or delete it......

I made my own. I cut the trumpets out of the factory box (they are "welded" or glued in). I made my box from aluminum. I still deleted the booster, but you can make it however you want.
I've dynoed it and a stock box. The power from the bottom to 6k is very similar - they are virtually the same from 2500 to 6000 (mine is actually better for most of this area). From 6k up my box pulls ahead, peaking about 12 hp up on the factory box. I knew mine was better when I put the factory box on and my air/fuel went rich - just not as much airflow.
As a bonus, my box makes an awesome sound. -
