this might be a little stupid but i'm going to put it out there anyway,

I am buying a complete running driving e46 330 to do an engine and gearbox swap into my e30 320, i don't see it being too much trouble seeing as i have done many engine swaps in the past but i see that everyone else here is swapping computers and looms to run obd 1 would it not be simpler to just swap the complete harness and computer including ignition and key?

You don't have to swap the ignition switch to make it work. It is more simple than that now. There are few posts here were people are doing this swap and it is very simple.

great, i have been reading as many threads as i saw with any info but none have what is needed and not need, i'm trying to do it as cheap as possible can you point me in the right direction of a good thread?
