Question with getting Oil Temp on the cluster to work.

Hi, I never got my Oil temp gauge to work since I did my swap. This is on an E30 M3 so I already have the gauge in the cluster.

My Question is do I have to use the stock S14 oil temp sensor or can the stock E46 M3 one be used? I know I have to run the wiring from the sensor to PIN #19 on the C101. Other than that I'm not sure how to hook it up.

    Thanks.

Yes you have to use the S14 sensor. There should be a couple of blocked ports on the S54 oil filter housing where you can put the sensor.
