Will 325 strut inserts fit?

So I am having trouble sourcing 325ix struts atm , my local part store can only get 325i struts so I am wondering if 325i strut would fit in the housing as a temporary measure while I find the proper struts
Ill be replacing coil springs aswell not looking for a drop thanks!

Maybe you should order appropriate inserts, pay extra for rapid shipping, and still save over the local.
