Hello AWD friends! How do you remove your sideskirts?

I recently found a IX in a pick-a-part that has pretty decent condition side skirts that are unique to this model. I think they look great and would fit my father's 4 door late model. I took a look at how this would be done but I hadn't any tools with me at the time. I also looked at the parts diagram from realoem.com, the diagram helped some but still left some specifics hazy. Please enlighten me on how to remove these fender flares/skirts correctly so that they can live on via another e30. I know there are rivets involved and 8mm bolts? please correct me if I'm wrong. I tried to search as well but "no matches" could be found.

    Thanks again,
    your RWD admirer

P.S. I also purchased the trim puller tool set from harbor freight for this job. Would these be of use in this removal?

hey well I went and got them. There are multiple plastic clips similar to the ones that hold on the door mouldings. There are 5 or 6 8mm bolts(two on the sideskirt part and two on each flare. There are clips underneath the rocker panels that are very easy to get off. Last and not least very sturdy double sided tape.

Its hard to not break the plastic clips. Take your time and reuse them.
