    IX 24V swap?

    Question while i seach on this, is it posible.

    Yes m50s are pretty common. You have to cut half the oilpan and add it to half an ixm20 oilpan to get the shafts through.

            Might check out the oil pan from an E53 X5 3.0 as a possible bolt-together solution.

            I haven't looked at that one yet, but the X5 4.4 pan appears to have the same bellhousing to axle centerline distance as the 325iX M20 pan, yet would have the correct angle for the M50 based engines.

              Sorry, you're right. I guess when I said "common" I meant "has been done by several people" as opposed to "only seen in custom shops".
