    Carpet

Has anyone replaced the carpeting on their car with a carpet kit designed for a 2wd E30? How well does it fit around the transfer case clearance on the tunnel?

    Thanks

i have a tan ix carpet i would sell if that is the color you can live with. a 2wd carpet will not work for you.

generally, carpet kits are complete crap. the carpet isn't molded properly and it doesn't have the molded foam backing under it to make it look like it fits well. if you go aftermarket, your floor will look flabbed up like one of those people that used to weigh 300 lbs, but lost about 150. you are much better off finding a decent used carpet than buying an aftermarket carpet kit. you will not be happy with the results.

OK, thanks for the input and the offer, but I'll need gray carpet.

Try your hardest to clean it. If anything remove the seats and take it out. Ive heard pressure washers work miracles.

bummer. i do have a grey one and cardinal too. even of they weren't slated for my projects, i would never sell them though because i probably won't find another. ix carpet in good shape really is that rare.

i suggest sending a pm to every ix partout thread on this forum and the other one.

thx guys. I'll probably remove it and blast it with a pressure washer.
