    Clutch Slave replacement

I was wondering if it is possible to get the slave cylinder out of the ix without removing the front drive line? It just looks really tight. If it does need to get pulled, are they any things I should watch out for? Other then to make sure it goes back in the same alignment it came out of course.

    Thanks

Ill have a look at mine hopefully tonight. Perhaps just lowering the tranny will give you room? If your replacing it, bleeding it is usually the worse part. That can be a pain.

No need to pull the front drive line. I just did mine yesterday, used a 3" extension attached to a 12mm socket, behind that a wobbly/u-joint, and then a longer extension to my ratchet. (Note: I used an air ratchet, but the ratchet is out in the open with the wobbly attached so same deal.) And as far as getting the slave cylinder out, just work it around, and you can pull it down out of there after the nuts are off.

Took 1 hour with the correct tools. The self bleeding worked like a charm, just keep the reservoir full as you go.

            Thanks for the tips gang!
