    UUC SS issues

The previous owner of my ix put a UUC short shift kit in the car. The problem is when it is in gear there is tons of play. Something is not right as it has more play in gear then a 1978 chevy luv pick up. It shifts just fine, but it is annoying as all get out. Does anyone have experience with the UUC SSK?

    Thanks

Is this part one from UUC that he did not install because it looks like a bitch to get to? or is it just a different part?

      Thanks

He probabley just installed the evo3 ssk and not the Dssr the Dssr is what takes away all the side to side slop m short shifters normally shorten the shift throw but they don't remove side to side slop

That part is probably broken and sloppy on your car.
It connects the bottom of the shifter -> a rod(selector rod) -> broken joint -> trans.

I have an AKG tunnel mounted shifter and it's still sloppy(side to side) because of this part.
If that part is poopoo, you will still have slop.

Thanks for the input guys. I'm going to shot some video of it tonight so you can see how bad it is. It's not just your average slop, it is the same amount of movement in gear as in neutral. Broken part could be the issue. It is the evo 3. Any idea if I can get the part from the dssr and just install that as a replacement?

^^ that is your issue. I just replaced mine too, same ridiculous amount of slop side to side in the shifter, we're talking, it tore up my shift boot from rubbing between the lever and the center console, kinda slop. Never mis-shifted, just a ton of slop. I drove it like that for 3+ years. Put a new trans and shifter in w/70k miles and it all went away. I thought it was the rubber bushing in the upper shift linkage, but that was not the case.

Nice, no need for video that is exactly what mine is doing. I will need a new shift boot. Anyone want to make my day and give me a part number? The ix karma gods will smile on you for sure.

                Thanks again guys!
